2024 proved to be a good year for the club, with us able to run a full programme of regattas's throughout the season. All regatta's both Radio Steering and Straight Running were well supported. It was pleasing to see some new faces entrering boats in the Straight Running events.
Having a few extra compeditors makes holding the competitions that much easier, and we are always short of catchers.
The Straight running regattas were very well supported
Lovely to see the "Kestrel" sailing again after restoration by a new skipper
Another restored model now converted to electric power and also sailed by a new skipper. Its hoped to have the boat powered by a Petrol Engine next year
We also now have a junior member with a keen eye, beating the seniors on a regular basis
The third member of the "Brass Funnel line", The ASH now back in service after restoration. The compound steam engine in the boat dates from 1922
The ASH under steam on the lake
